I am Maria Muir and this is my little corner of  a very large blog sphere. I am a single parent to 4 amazing kids, 2 teenage girls Lisa-Marie (19) & Natalie (17) and 2 boys – Shaun (10)  & Ryan (4) they are my pride and joy. I am a qualified Social Care Worker, I also make hand crafted cards which you can view HERE.

Maria Muir.com began in October 2009 mainly as a distraction from running www.innocentvoicesuk.com  a website supporting victims & survivors of child abuse which as you can imagine can be very stressful and with emotions running high at the end of the day, there are times you need a severe distraction to take you out of the dark place we so often find ourselves in. But it is also very rewarding in the smallest and simplest of ways and when you least expect it.

This   -  Blogging about blogging blogging tips & tricks (sometimes ) challenges, Facebook news, alerts,apps & scams, Twitter updates, #FollowFriday, RT, Recommended bloggers & blogs. Guest posters are welcome see posts HERE see guest authors HERE

I did have a page where you could submit a guest post but it has mysteriously disappeared, in the meantime while I sort it out you can submit using the CONTACT page.

That   -  Inspirational quotes, self improvement, motivation,  and some of my very own poetry   I Will Look Upon Your Face is the last poem I wrote.

We also like a dose of humour, the latest Creative Minds Are Rarely Tidy received nearly 400 hits alone in one day from StumbleUpon along with the traffic from Facebook, Google and other sources.

The Other   -  Alternative news, conspiracy theories, freedom of speech, activism, humanity, truth. The Boycott UK Census is another traffic puller just now as is For The Rule Breakers….. and just new our WFT! category.

To the right you will find links to follow my blog in most of the social sites. You will see there are 2 icons for Facebook, one is the fanpage the other is my profile where you can friend me if you wish. The fanpage consists mainly of other bloggers and posts are mainly on blogging and social media. Whereas my profile has everything from inspirational quotes, video, alternative news and some great banter.

This is my blog logo which was made by Cathy Belyea of Purple’s Theory it was entered into a competition I ran back in December.

Cathy is a published writer, singer, blogger and relationship guru and has been such an inspiration for me I am in awe at how she managed to turn her life around which you can read all about at Purple’s Theory

From time to time I change the banner above which were made by my top tweeter and another fellow blogger.
