Give Me A Challenge – Inspire Me

by Maria on March 7, 2010

I gave this some serious thought, (about five minutes) and decided to put myself out there and plunge  into the unknown.

Since Friday I have had a little writers block, don’t know if this was due to having a really bad head cold, paying over £200.00 ($400.00) to have my car fixed and the endless cold weather.

The only thing that put a smile on my face was watching the gorgeous Jensen Ackles in Supernatural. :)

Jensen Ackles: Supernatural

So struggling to write and even though I have been reading others blogs, looking for some inspiration, I still can’t seem to get focused. And this is where I go and put my big foot in it by asking you  to make a few suggestions and give me a challenge.

Now this could turn really ugly for me because I could be way out of my depth and taking a huge risk. But I’ll take the risk.

The subject for the post can be about anything, except porn. The post can also be used as a guest post or I post it here. I am looking for 10 new subjects to write about, one post for the next 10 days.

What do I hope to gain? Cure my writers block, get some inspiration, learn something new and broaden my horizon.

Whats in it for you?  Amusing yourself to see how well I do.

If you would like to be included just leave a comment below with the subject you would like me to write about.

If you had the chance to make a movie, what would the story be about?

I think writing a fiction story would be a lovely way to get away from all the real life issues?

Escapism, love it! I’ve always got my head in the clouds daydreaming about a big budget movie, and I have a few ideas of what it would be about.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Write about why you had writer’s block? What would inspire you more than anything right now? Go out and watch people on the street, listen to someone talk, take one word and turn it into your blog. Try it.

Thanks for the the input and you could be right, I haven’t been out much over the last few weeks and have been laden with everyday problems. A nice long walk could possibly clear the cobwebs away.

Thanks again.

Isn’t this your list James? Very grateful for the suggestions. I hope I know what I’m doing here, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Since I made the post I had several ideas and have drafted them and may add them to the list.

Looking forward to your tutorials, how are they coming along?

Why not a list of “ways to get out of writer’s block?” I like to write about stuff that’s going on in my life right at that moment. It gives a more personable touch.

On a side note….I always carry a small idea book with me everywhere I go, so when I get stuck with what to write about, I’ll pull out this book and flesh out the ideas that I randomly have.

Hi Steve,

I’ve been doing something similiar. Incidently, since I did this post, I had a few ideas. I guess it inspired me after all, but I’m still open to more suggestions.

I also thought of an idea to post about, I got the idea from TheInfoPreneur.net site. The impact of video blogging vs writing vs both integrated.
