If we don’t give ourself credit and be proud of what we have achieved, will anyone else? Blow your own trumpet, it oozes confidence and likeability.

Start showing everyone you are proud of your work, give yourself credit, you deserve it.

Although I still have a long way to go, I have finally taken back my life and working on making the changes defusing the negativity. There are times when tough decisions have to be made, even though its the last thing you thought you would ever do.

Sorry to hear that you have been going through some difficulties. This is the point where you must rely on your own sense of self to see you through, regardless of any one else. At the end of the day, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and decide whether you are okay with that person looking back or not. It sounds like you are and that you have made the right decision *for you*. To heck with everyone else, it’s your life.

No one else has to (or can) live your life. Even if no one else is, you can be very proud of who you are.

Excellent post, and a topic I also struggle with. Even today I found myself negating a comment by a friend that I had a blog and was “cutting edge.” I caught myself in the middle of self-deprecation and said, you know what, I am cutting edge! I am working on giving myself credit, internally and with others. I’ve certainly gotten better at accepting others’ compliments, which is huge progress, so the next step is validating myself for my tremendous talents.
